MEET OUR TEAM

Travis Martinez

Travis Martinez is the founder of The Giving Arms, a nonprofit committed to ensuring that individuals and families facing crisis have the resources to rebuild, stabilize, and move forward with dignity. Under his leadership, the organization closes the gap between sudden hardship — medical emergencies, job loss, housing instability and the long-term stability families need to recover.

Travis’s path into this work began at 17, after watching a close friend’s family lose their home in the wake of a health tragedy, with no infrastructure to support them. That experience defined his understanding of how quickly families can fall through the cracks of existing systems, and it shaped a career oriented toward building practical, timely solutions.

He brings nearly a decade of leadership experience across financial services and education, with a background in business intelligence, team development, agency building, and financial literacy education. As Acting Manager of KEFLAA Global, Travis helps individuals and families structure their financial foundations with greater clarity, protection, and efficiency. As a financial literacy educator within the District of Osceola County and Zenith Accelerated Learning Academy, he has delivered programs to both adults and youth, achieving an 84% passing rate among young participants in core areas including money management, credit, and long-term financial planning.

Travis holds an associate degree and made the deliberate decision to prioritize raising his growing family while continuing to advance professionally through mentorship, hands-on leadership experience, conferences and always being a student of life. He is a father of three, a youth basketball coach, and an active community mentor serving both the Kissimmee and Tampa Bay regions.

At The Giving Arms, our mission is to create a nation where every family—regardless of hardship or circumstance—has access to a safe, stable, and dignified place to call home. We believe that housing is more than just shelter; it is the foundation for healing, growth, and new beginnings.

Driven by compassion and community, we are committed to restoring hope and empowering individuals and families to rebuild their lives with strength and confidence. Through open hearts and collective action, we strive to ensure that no one is left without the comfort, security, and opportunity that a home provides.
